All about running your own bitcoin node

Bitcoin is the currency of the Internet: a distributed, worldwide, decentralized digital money. Unlike traditional currencies such as dollars, bitcoins are issued and managed without any central authority whatsoever: there is no government, company, or bank in charge of Bitcoin. With Bitcoin, you can be your own bank. If you are new to Bitcoin, try btc (the recommended subreddit for censorship resistant bitcoin discussion), Bitcoin.com Wiki or find more info at Bitcoin.com.

Error starting up new Bitcoin Unlimited BCH node.

EDIT: Fixed, I just needed to run "./bch-unlimited-1.8.0.0/bin/bitcoind --daemon -reindex" It's fully synced now.
It was syncing for awhile at first but now it keeps crashing whenever I run the following command."./bch-unlimited-1.8.0.0/bin/bitcoind --daemon"
It throws the error "Error: Failed to connect best block"Below is the log. Any help is appreciated.

Steps to move 2of2 with ntimelock.zip

EDIT: this is about moving bcash coins, not the normal BTC.
Finally, I moved BCH coins off greenaddress so that I can dump them.
I’d like to thank: ‘dumpyourbcash’ https://github.com/dumpyourbcash/garecovery
Jeremy Kauffman ‘jkauffman1’ https://github.com/greenaddress/garecovery
Alex Perev https://github.com/AlexPerev/garecovery
Without their works prior, I won’t be able to move BCH today.
This write up is just for my scenario, my profession is mostly databases and web-based technologies. I only picked up python since the recent BCH run up which gave me enough incentive to dump them.
I spent some spare time to figure out the following steps. It worked for me, and it does not mean I went on the shortest path. Some steps could well be optional, but I list them here in case things not working out, and these steps could help you move further. Be aware this guide is all done in Linux terminal, no GUI involved, and assume you have basic knowledge using Linux and vim editor.
My scenario is the following:
Software needed:
Hope this can help some to get bcash out, it still has some value at this moment 😊
Donations are welcome.

Started 2018 by running a full node - long live Bitcoin.

I finally decided to repurpose my old micro-server to run a full node. I am hopping to achieve 100% uptime in 2018.
Other than being a HODLER this is my way of supporting the network. Looking to test LN this year too.
